AAMCO Helps a Nonprofit
Simply Soda Children’s Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping sick and injured children and their families. Simply Soda was created after Chad and Andi’s four year old son Zaine “Soda Pop” was in a car accident with his grandmother. Zaine’s grandma died instantly, but Soda Pop survived with massive trauma to his brain. Soda was in the hospital for nearly three months and has had many frequent doctors’ visits since.
Since the foundation was created, Simply Soda has helped many children in need. When Cody was born, his heart had a hole through the center and was no larger than a strawberry. Because of the hole, Cody’s brain could not get the oxygen it needed, and this led to brain damage. Due to these complications, Cody needs medication and weekly therapy visits. Cody also has developmental problems and has to attend a special school. Cody’s father, Jimmy, is a single father who does not receive any support from Cody’s mother.
Fortunately, Simply Soda was able to help Jimmy and his family through AAMCO of Lafayette. AAMCO is helping this family by rebuilding the transmission in Jimmy’s Chevy Tahoe. After the vehicle is repaired, it will be used to transport Cody to his multiple doctors’ appointments and school. Thanks to AAMCO and Simply soda, Jimmy can take his son where he needs to be.
